A Pending List For The Field

  • New

The Pending List replaces the overdue sheet under Reports. Filter by dues pending, arrears, penalty, instalments left, balance, due day, last paid date, area group, area, broker, vehicle and flags. Save a filter set as a named list that staff can run but not change. It prints as a PDF with each area group on its own page, and exports to Excel and CSV. “Due this month”, which never checked a date, is gone.

  • New

The Activity log is rebuilt for owners. Each entry is one plain sentence, unreviewed alerts come first, and a change shows old to new: a fine rate lowered, a customer’s phone replaced, a permission widened. Voids, back-dated receipts, exports, opened KYC documents, sign-ins and every WiseBook support visit are recorded. Switch alerts on and suspicious activity reaches you at once; everything else comes in a Monday digest.

  • Improved

When a customer hands over a little more penalty than is owed, rounding up or for want of change, the receipt now takes it instead of asking you to lower it. The extra is booked as penalty income and never reduces penalty owed on another instalment. The loan page shows it under Total paid. More than ₹100 extra asks you to confirm first, in case it is a typo.

  • Improved

The closure drawer shows what the loan owes on the book beside the gross total, and asks before writing anything off. Its penalty includes penalty still owed on instalments already paid, and the quote no longer goes stale when you change the date or rate quickly.

  • Improved

A visiting charge above your visit fee, or above the seizure charges on a settlement, needs an owner’s override, and the override is recorded.

  • Improved

The printed receipt shows the balance after this payment, as it stood that day, even when reprinted months later, and names a part payment as one.

  • Improved

A loan’s history shows the business date, what happened and who entered it, in three columns, so a back-entered book no longer reads scrambled. Everyone who can open the loan sees all of it.

  • Improved

A month closes itself only after seven days with nothing new entered into it. Back-entering an old month is no longer undone by the next morning’s automatic close.

  • Improved

Flags name the customer and balance on each row and can be searched by loan number or name. A ledger that was never checked no longer reads as clean, and Scan says what it actually checked. A fully paid loan always offers Close loan, even after you dismiss the prompt at the last payment.

  • Fixed

A closure now takes its principal from the loan, never from what was typed. A closure entered with interest at zero and the cash typed as principal left part of the loan on the books after it closed. Books health now lists closed loans still carrying a balance. Worth checking yours.

  • Fixed

Leaving the penalty box untouched now charges the penalty still owed on instalments already paid, matching what the drawer shows; the receipt used to book less. Voiding a receipt takes back the penalty it charged, so re-entering it no longer charges twice, and voiding a closure restores everything it forgave. Collect payment no longer counts a part-paid instalment’s penalty twice.

  • Fixed

The monthly summary reads profit and expenses from the books for that month, document charges included, and its columns add up. Dashboard overdue ageing is measured as of each month-end, not today. Reports print every row with page numbers and without the app around them, and exported files name their company, report and period. Worth re-reading any summary you printed earlier.

  • Fixed

Between midnight and 5:30 am, a loan or receipt dated today was refused as being in the future. It no longer is, and the Activity log’s date filter now means days in India.

  • Fixed

The Loan terms card shows the rate the schedule actually charges, rather than a typed rate the schedule doesn’t follow. A zero-interest loan can now be closed.

Every Rupee Where It Belongs

  • New

On loans written from 12 October, a fine stays owed until it is paid or forgiven. Collecting less than the fine no longer quietly writes off the rest: it is carried on the loan and shown at Collect payment. The unpaid part of a late instalment keeps earning fine. Closing the loan forgives whatever remains, shown on the loan page as a penalty waiver.

  • New

At Collect payment you can type the cash the customer handed over and see how it splits: fine first, then visiting charges, then dues. Each part stays editable, and the receipt records exactly the amount you counted.

  • New

Set the first EMI due date on the New Loan form, separately from the agreement date. If you collect only on fixed days, a loan given on the 6th can fall due on the 15th without changing its agreement date. Both dates can be corrected until the first payment is received.

  • New

Changing a partner’s share, or adding, archiving or bringing back a partner, now shows every share it would move, old to new, and saves nothing until you confirm. “Profit available to share out” now includes this year’s profit. A partner’s capital statement adds up and prints on A4.

  • Improved

Visiting charges have their own income account instead of sitting in Other Income. The loan page shows them beside the fine, so a ₹500 collection made of a ₹300 fine and a ₹200 visit reads that way.

  • Improved

The counter finds a loan however you write its number (9, 09 or HP9) and by customer name. Save & Print opens the receipt to print. The next entry starts in cash rather than as a UPI form that cannot be saved. Receipts say who entered them instead of naming a collector nobody recorded.

  • Improved

Books health now checks fines against receipts and document charges against loans, lists income typed in by hand, and labels a gap by its size. Hand-typed entries can no longer touch the loans account or a partner’s capital, and the voucher number you type is saved.

  • Improved

A returning customer with a new phone number is recognised by their Aadhaar when you write the loan, so they keep one record, with the old number kept beside the new. A risk rating is suggested only from payments with a recorded date, instead of every customer showing an “Average” nobody chose.

  • Fixed

Three fixes at the counter, worth checking against your own receipts. Clearing the fine box to waive a fine was ignored, and the full fine was booked. An untouched visiting-charge box booked the standard visit fee for a visit nobody made. Two quick saves on one loan could both post.

  • Fixed

Correcting a loan’s agreement date now moves its disbursement to the new date. Before, the schedule moved but the money stayed on the old day, so that day’s cash book disagreed with the paper ledger. Worth checking any loan whose date you corrected.

  • Fixed

A broker commission set in the loan edit drawer, and then paid with Pay Commission, left the cash book twice. It now leaves once, and Pay Commission is no longer offered for a commission already paid.

  • Fixed

The daily cash check measures your count against what the books held that day. Before, a day with no saved record was measured against zero, so the whole drawer was stored as a shortage, and a cancelled receipt left a variance that never cleared. Every day with entries is now listed.

  • Fixed

The day book keeps cash and bank apart. A UPI or bank receipt was counted as cash, so the cash column could close above the Closing Cash card. The Trial Balance now shows month-closing entries in their own column, so it agrees with the P&L.

  • Fixed

Overdue amounts are worked out from the schedule each time, instead of from a stored figure that went stale. The loan list’s colouring and every arrears figure now agree with the schedule.

  • Fixed

A staff login without an email address was refused on every screen and told to check an inbox it did not have. Such logins now work normally.

Terms Stamped On The Loan

  • New

You choose how the document charge is taken — deducted from the amount you hand over, or collected separately. Set a company default under Settings → Loan settings, or pick it on each loan. The New Loan form states what to hand the customer, and the daily cash book shows the charge either way.

  • Improved

A loan keeps the terms it was written under. The EMI rounding, the penalty rate, the early-closure margin and the document charge treatment are recorded on the loan itself, so changing a company setting today never rewrites a loan you signed months ago. The edit drawer quotes the loan, not today’s settings.

  • Improved

Rates, tenures and charges start empty rather than at zero. An unset figure reads “Not set” instead of a bare percent sign, and the New Loan form opens blank rather than filling itself with values nobody chose. Enter them once under Settings → Loan settings and the loan and receipt forms follow.

  • Fixed

A figure reads the same wherever it appears. Cash given could show one amount on the loan card and another in the edit drawer, one click apart. The drawer now previews exactly what the save will write, and each number carries one name on the loan page and in the list.

  • Fixed

Three corrections to the cash book, worth checking against your own: a cancelled entry was still moving cash, a document charge you collected could be counted twice, and the daily ledger took its day from the server’s clock rather than Indian time, which could file a late-evening entry under the wrong date.

  • New

This page. What changes in WiseBook is written down as it ships, corrections included, instead of arriving unannounced on a screen you use every day.

September 20266 updates

Your Own Login, Your Own History

  • New

Staff can sign in with a company code and a username, so someone without an email address gets a login of their own. A sign-in from an unrecognised device is held until a manager approves it, and you can reset a password or remove someone who has left without touching the history they created.

  • New

Records prove their own history. A loan reads its lifecycle from itself, a receipt records who voided it, a seizure episode records who reverted it, and an expense carries its own history — rather than all of it living in one general log.

  • Improved

A late fine's slab table is edited as boundaries rather than pairs of numbers, and the editor refuses a table with a gap in it, so there is no amount the table cannot answer for.

  • Improved

Writing a second loan for an existing customer starts from their record rather than the row you searched, tells you when the vehicle is already on file, and says what this loan will change about the customer before you commit to it.

  • Improved

The activity log is sorted into kinds instead of one long list, and it has a permission of its own — so you can let someone see the history without giving them everything else.

  • Improved

The permissions you set under Settings → Team are enforced on every screen and on the request behind it, not only where the menu is drawn.

August 20268 updates

Books That Close

  • New

Closing a month now books the profit. The month's result moves to retained earnings instead of sitting in the operational view forever, you can close a whole financial year rather than only a month, and a finished month can close itself if you want it to.

  • New

Interest can be recognised as it is earned rather than only when it is collected. Turn accrual on under Settings → Accounting and the period close recognises the month's interest, reclassifies what is receivable, and unwinds it correctly when a loan closes early.

  • New

Profit distribution is per partner and by hand. Enter what each partner takes, pay it out as cash or bank, and reverse it if it was wrong — a reversal puts the capital back where it came from.

  • New

Needs attention gathers everything the books are unsure about in one place: a customer missing an area, a duplicate to merge, an Aadhaar or phone to fix, an expense head to remap. Each one is fixed from the panel rather than hunted down.

  • New

Books health check compares each subledger against the general ledger and tells you where they disagree, so a drift is something you find rather than something you discover at year end.

  • Improved

Collecting is amount-first. Type what the customer actually handed over — part of an EMI, several EMIs, or more than is due — and the receipt works it out. A loan can close on a final payment that was short, with the shortfall recorded as a discount rather than hidden.

  • Improved

The daily cash check is a two-step drawer covering cash and bank together, replacing the older reconciliation wizard. It asks what you counted, shows what the books expected, and records the difference.

  • Improved

Two people who share a phone number, or whose names differ only in spelling, are recognised as possibly the same person while you are typing the loan — not after you have created a second record for them.

July 20266 updates

Collections In One Place

  • New

Record Collections is a bulk entry workspace for a day's takings. Enter receipt after receipt without leaving the screen, close loans from the same place, and have it all land in the daily ledger as you go.

  • New

Seizure became a full lifecycle rather than a one-way door. Mark a vehicle for seizure or seize it directly, revert a seizure that should not have happened, record the sale, and let a closure release the vehicle automatically. The storage yard and seizing charges can be filled in later.

  • New

A Seized Vehicles report lists what you are holding, sliceable by branch and area, so the yard is something you read off a screen instead of counting in person.

  • New

An early closure is quoted at a rate you set, and you see the quote before you commit to it.

  • New

A collections report covers any date range you choose and drills down to the receipts behind the totals.

  • Improved

Everything a loan knows about itself is on one timeline — receipts, edits, seizure, closure — instead of being spread across pages. A receipt can be downloaded as a PDF from the schedule row it belongs to.

June 20264 updates

What The Counter Actually Needs

  • Improved

The New Loan form took on what the counter actually needs: more than one phone number per person, notes, whether the money went out as cash or bank, which broker the loan came from, and photographs taken at the time.

  • Improved

The loan page groups the customer, the guarantor, where they live and their photographs together, instead of scattering them across the screen.

  • Improved

Settings are edited a page at a time rather than card by card, and the pages were rearranged so a setting is where you would look for it — including a page of its own for documents.

  • Fixed

An interest rebate given on an early closure is booked as a discount rather than quietly reducing the interest, so the books show what was given away.

May 20264 updates

Accounts Worth Protecting

  • New

Accounts are protected properly. The email address is verified, a password has to be a real one, an account locks after repeated failures, and signing in from an unrecognised device asks for more. The riskiest actions ask again before they happen.

  • New

Two-factor authentication is available, with recovery codes, and you can see every session you have open and sign out of all of them at once. A security page lists what has happened to your account.

  • New

A customer's house can be pinned on a map, with photographs, so a field visit starts from a location rather than a description.Books Pro

  • Improved

The sidebar drills into Ledger, Settings, Lists and Reports rather than listing everything at once, and an invitation you have been sent appears in the company switcher instead of waiting in an email.

April 20265 updates

Who Can Do What

  • New

Permissions became yours to set. Every screen and every action runs through one permission system, and an owner can change what a role is allowed to do under Settings → Team rather than living with the defaults.

  • New

Documents and photographs attach to the record they belong to — a customer's photo and KYC, the vehicle's condition and RC, an expense bill, evidence at a seizure — so the paper file stops being a separate thing you have to find.

  • New

A company is activated with a licence key, so a firm can be set up and configured before any money changes hands.

  • Improved

The customer pages were rebuilt around what a lender needs to know about a person, including a risk threshold you set yourself.

  • Improved

Creating a loan, a receipt or an expense tells you up front what is missing — the accounts, the opening balances — instead of failing at the end of the form.

March 20268 updates

One Page Per Job

  • New

New Loan became a single page. Find the customer, add the guarantor, pick or create the vehicle, name the broker, and watch the loan summary build as you type — instead of a wizard that asked for things in an order nobody works in.

  • New

The reports a lender actually asks for: what is due this month, what is overdue — grouped by area and ordered by what is worth chasing — and a month-by-month summary of the business.

  • New

The accountant's three: Trial Balance, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, drawn from the same ledger the day's work posts to.

  • New

A loan search sits in the header, so any loan is a few keystrokes away from any screen.

  • New

The chart of accounts can be edited — add an account you need, put aside one you do not.

  • Improved

Receipts were reworked around dues. A payment settles the oldest dues first, and foreclosure and settlement became one closure flow rather than two that could disagree.

  • Improved

Seizure stopped being a separate module and became something you do to a loan, with the vehicle's state shown on the loan itself.

  • Improved

The loan list leads with search, because you look for one loan far more often than you browse all of them, and the loan page is laid out in zones so a number is where you left it.

February 20265 updates

Made To Fit Your Shop

  • New

A late fine can follow a slab table rather than one flat rate, set once and applied to the loans written afterwards.

  • New

Areas can be mapped. Place your collection areas on a map, see where your loans actually are, and filter the loan list by area.

  • New

A settings page gathers the charges, the loan defaults and how a receipt prints into one place, instead of leaving them scattered.

  • New

A setup guide appears after onboarding and stays until the things a working book needs are actually in place.

  • New

Charges beyond the standard ones can be added to a loan when the deal has them.

December 20255 updates

Collecting And Closing

  • New

Receipts arrived, and with them the repayment schedule. A payment is applied against the dues it settles, the schedule shows what is paid and what is pending, and the receipt prints as a PDF you can hand over.

  • New

A vehicle can be seized and a loan can be foreclosed, with the figures worked out rather than negotiated on paper.

  • New

A late fine per day can be set on the loan, and waived on a receipt when you decide to waive it.

  • New

The dashboard and the daily ledger view arrived, so the day's position is a screen rather than an exercise.

  • Improved

A loan can be corrected or cancelled after it is written, because the first version of a record is not always the right one.

November 20254 updates

The Book, Digitised

  • New

The first week, and most of the shape of the thing: the loan book, the customer list, the vehicle and area masters, and the expense register — all posting into a real double-entry ledger with its own chart of accounts, so the books balance as the work happens rather than afterwards.

  • New

Your firm is a company that other people can join. Invite staff, give each one a role, and hand over ownership without losing what came before. Every change has been written to an activity log since the first day.

  • New

Partners and their capital live in the ledger rather than in somebody's head — contributions, withdrawals, and where each partner stands.

  • New

Accounting periods, a daily cash reconciliation and the financial reports came in the same week as the ledger they read from.
